How to Steam Eggs. Mastering the perfect soft egg is all about timing and temperature. This method is simple, quick, and consistently delivers beautifully set whites with molten centers.

    Ingredients

    1. 1

      3 eggs, at room temperature

    Method

    1. 1

Place a pot ¼ filled with water over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle simmer.

    2. 2

Place the steamer basket on top of the pot and gently place in your eggs. Cover with the lid and cook for 5 ½ minutes for soft eggs.

    3. 3

Remove the eggs using a slotted spoon and place them into ice water for 1 minute to stop the cooking process. Peel the eggs carefully and serve with your dish of choice.
