Green Power Smoothie Bowl

Method

  1. 1
    Separate the coconut cream from the liquid in the can. Discard the liquid and chill the cream in the fridge until cool (about 30 minutes). 
  2. 2
    Place all the smoothie ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
  3. 3
    Divide between two bowls.
  4. 4
    Top with frozen fruits, chia seeds, coconut flakes and sprinkle with moringa powder, if using. Serve immediately.

Ingredients

  • For the Smoothie

    • 6 cups spinach (rinsed)

    • 2 cups kale (rinsed)

    • 1 semi-ripe avocado

    • 2 frozen bananas (peeled)

    • 1 frozen, large ripe mango (peeled and diced)

    • 400 g coconut cream

  • For the Toppings

    • 100 g frozen raspberries

    • 100 g frozen grapes

    • 20 ml chia seeds

    • 20 ml toasted or fresh coconut flakes

    • 5 ml moringa powder (optional)

Place the coconut cream in the fridge overnight to separate the thick cream from the water. Use only the thick cream for a richer smoothie bowl.
