Cardamon and orange marmalade hot cross buns
This is not your traditional hot cross bun. A fruit-free bun with marmalade glazed top, and a decadent spiced whipped butter to smear.
Stories of the origin of hot cross buns stretch back to ancient Greece and Egypt, and they’re now best known as an English bun. They were forbidden during the reign of Elizabeth I except on Good Friday, Christmas and at burials.
